Sivert Hoyem
My Thieving Heart ft.Marie Munroe

A nocturnal light shines over Sivert Hoyem’s new album “Lioness”. The Norwegian rock artist is still moving through a shadowy landscape, but the shades are cast by a warm light. Hoyem is the holder of a voice that should be considered one of Norway’s natural resources, he possesses a control of timbre and a command of phrasing reminiscent of a classically trained musician. On this album, his voice is brought forth, not just by the utterly solid band he has assembled, but also by a rich, organic tapestry of strings and acoustic instruments. “Lioness” is an album pulsating with warmth and life. A line comes to mind while listening through this record. “Roy Orbison singing for the lonely”, Bruce Springsteen muses in “Thunder Road” (the opening track of “Born To Run”). Hoyem’s new album contains references to both Orbison and Springsteen, and he sings for the lonely on “Lioness”. The singer and songwriter finds himself under a more benign sky, and he provides balm for tormented souls during the dark hours of the night. In classical music a nocturne is a musical composition inspired by, or seeking to depict, a night. “Lioness” is in many ways a nocturnal album; it evokes moods belonging to the night. Most of the album’s ten tracks contain references to sleep, dreams or the night. “We’re better when we’re fast asleep”, Hoyem sings in the opening track “Sleepwalking Man”. “My Thieving Heart” ? a duet with singer Marie Munroe ? starts with a heavy-eyed opening scene suggested by the lines “Walking up too soon/The pale blue light of your hotel room”. And in the slightly Bowiesque “V - O - I - D” he sings, “Let me sleep and wake me never”. Perhaps he explains it all in the closing track “Silences”: “The night is my favorite time of day”... |

Reckless Love
Monster
( Official Video / ADAGIO TV RUSSIA )
Finlands own merry metallers, Reckless Love are carrying the torch of fun loving melodic hard rock and boy oh boy, they are doing it right. The band has been churning out insanely catchy anthems of wild parties, crazy nights and of course, girls girls girls for a better half of the decade now. There is simply no stopping this four piece. Since day one, this brilliant quartet has been known for their shameless, colourful and high energy live performances which they have taken all over the world. Relentless touring in their home territory Finland, and also in the United Kingdom has helped them reach a steady following in both countries. In fact, the British fans showed their love in 2013 by raising their previous album "Spirit" on 11th place on the british rock charts. In Finland, their fans went a little further and made Reckless Love a gold selling artist. March 11th marks the day Reckless Love will release their fourth studio album titled "InVader", which will be available, in addittion to Finland and Great Britain, at least in the United States, Sweden and Germany. Pepe Reckless, the bands guitarist, describes the album as their boldest and most versatile so far. He also adds that this time the results didn't come easy and it really meant shedding some blood, sweat and beers. "We took a break from extensive touring in order to focus all our time and energy in songwriting. We wanted to stretch our musical muscles and genre limits more than ever before and experimented outside the box of our comfort zone. This way we wrote the greatest batch of songs we’ve ever written. In the end we came back to the core of our joyous brand of rock n roll and the results are fresh and original." Reckless Love truly has an extraordinary talent for intertwining two completely different musical worlds together as one intriguing fresh sound. A perfect example of this can be heard in their latest single "Monster". An ode to modern kind of female figure, in all its glory and gory. The song echoes of such legends as Alice Cooper and Motley Crue, but it also has distinctive parts that scream of the influence of such 90's pop giants as Backstreet Boys or Britney Spears. Reckless Love will start their 2016 European/UK tour on 3rd of March from Bristol UK, with their fellow Finns Santa Cruz as their opening act, finishing off at Moscow Russia on 4th of April. |

Narrow Plains
I Should’ve Known
( Official Video / ADAGIO TV RUSSIA )
Narrow Plains are an acoustic-indie, trio based in London, consisting of Charlie Ferriday (guitar/vocals), Roger Connick (bass/back-up vocals) and Stuart Connick (drums/back-up vocals). Narrow Plains formed in early 2012 after writing and self-recording their debut EP “Somewhere In Between” at minimal cost but to some considerable critical acclaim. As one early review noted, “the passion and fury that spawns this type of intense creation is evident in both the lyrics and sound” (Kei Hendrix, Bandmark). After receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from the EP, the band decided to gig at any and every location available to them in and around their native London. They have performed at prestigious venues such as the 02 Academy Islington, 100 Club, Barfly, and Cavern Club in Liverpool and an increasing number of festivals. They have also played gigs in the USA. |
Jean Michel Jarre (born Jean-Michel Andre Jarre; 24 August 1948) is a French composer, performer, and music producer. He is a pioneer in the electronic, ambient, and new-age genres, and known as an organiser of outdoor spectacles of his music featuring lights, laser displays, and fireworks.
Jarre was raised in Lyon by his mother and grandparents, and trained on the piano. From an early age he was introduced to a variety of art forms, including those of street performers, jazz musicians, and the artist Pierre Soulages. He played guitar in a band, but his musical style was perhaps most heavily influenced by Pierre Schaeffer, a pioneer of musique concrete at the Groupe de Recherches Musicales.
His first mainstream success was the 1976 album Oxygene. Recorded in a makeshift studio at his home, the album sold an estimated 12 million copies. Oxygene was followed in 1978 by Equinoxe, and in 1979 Jarre performed to a record-breaking audience of more than a million people at the Place de la Concorde, a record he has since broken three times. More albums were to follow, but his 1979 concert served as a blueprint for his future performances around the world. Several of his albums have been released to coincide with large-scale outdoor events, and he is now perhaps as well known as a performer as well as a musician.
As of 2004 Jarre had sold an estimated 80 million albums. He was the first Western musician officially invited to perform in the People's Republic of China, and holds the world record for the largest-ever audience at an outdoor event.
